What we collect, and why
Contact form
- Data
- First name, surname, email address, telephone number, the content of your message, and the file you attach if you add one.
- Purpose
- Handling your request and replying to you.
- Legal basis
- Your consent, given by ticking the box on the form (GDPR article 6.1.a). The form is not sent unless it is ticked.
- Retention period
- 2 years, as stated on the form.
Website audience measurement
- Data
- The pages viewed, the page you came from, the device type and the country. These measurements are aggregated: they cannot identify you and are not used to build any profile.
- Purpose
- Knowing which pages are viewed, in order to improve the site.
- Legal basis
- Our legitimate interest in knowing the traffic to our own website (article 6.1.f). The tool used, Umami, runs on our own servers and sets no cookies: that is what allows us to rely on legitimate interest rather than consent.
- Retention period
- The aggregated measurements are kept in order to follow how traffic changes over time.
YouTube videos
- Data
- Your IP address and the information YouTube collects when a video is displayed, including cookies placed on your device.
- Purpose
- Letting you watch the videos published on this website.
- Legal basis
- Your consent (article 6.1.a), requested by the site's banner. Until you give it, the video is replaced by its preview image — served from this site, not from Google — and no request is sent to YouTube.
- Retention period
- Determined by Google, under its own privacy rules.
Who receives your data
The data you send us through a form is stored in our own database, hosted on our servers in Belgium, and a notification email is sent to the people in our company who handle the request. Delivery of that email is entrusted to a sending provider established in the European Union, acting as a processor and making no other use of it.
The external services you accept through the banner — listed above — receive the data concerning them directly and process it under their own responsibility, according to their respective policies.
Your data is never sold, rented, or passed to third parties for commercial purposes.
Transfers outside the European Union
The external services you can accept belong to United States companies. The data they collect may therefore be transferred to the United States. These transfers rely on the adequacy decision adopted by the European Commission on 10 July 2023 (EU–US Data Privacy Framework). If you do not accept these services, no transfer takes place.

Cookies and choices
This website sets no cookies of its own. Only the external services listed above do, and only after your agreement. Your choice is stored in your browser without a cookie, using local storage; it is never sent to anyone.
You can change your choice at any time, as easily as you gave it, through the “Cookies and external services” link at the bottom of every page. Refusing is as simple as accepting, and does not prevent you from browsing the site.
Your rights
Regarding the personal data concerning you, you have the following rights:
- Access — find out whether we process data about you, and obtain a copy of it.
- Rectification — have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected.
- Erasure — have your data deleted when keeping it is no longer justified.
- Restriction — ask for processing to be frozen while a point is checked.
- Objection — object to processing based on our legitimate interest.
- Portability — receive the data you provided to us in a machine-readable format.
- Withdrawal of consent — take back an agreement at any time, without calling into question what was done before.
To exercise any of these rights, write to us at the address given at the top of this page. We reply within one month. We may ask you to prove your identity, but only where that is necessary to avoid disclosing your data to someone else.
